Oceanside, Calif. — October 30, 2026 — MagnaFlow Group (https://www.magnaflowgroup.com) will host the unveiling of professional builder Steve Strope’s latest creation, a custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the company’s SEMA Show Exhibit (#23143) in Central Hall at 11:15 a.m. followed by an autograph session through 12:00 noon. Strope’s take on the classic muscle car is another example of the innovation and creativity of the builds coming from his company, Pure Vision.

“I was challenged by the belief that there’s nothing new that could be done with the build of a ‘69 Camaro,” said Steve Strope, founder and owner of Pure Vision. “I understand why some might think that way when our hobby has been flooded with spectacularly overdone Pro Touring ‘69 Camaros. So, our Pure Vision team went back to basics while quietly trying to nudge the envelope. Not push, just nudge it.”

The mesmerizing Ice Grey Metallic custom bodywork holds many surprises.

“As with all Pure Vision builds, there are plenty of Easter Eggs to find, if you know where to look,” said Rich Waitas, Spokesman at MagnaFlow Group. “But at the same time, you’ll be shocked by the simplicity of things that traditional hot rodders revere. The car is a combination of old school and new tech, seamlessly woven together in an organic design that keeps you coming back to discover the next detail you didn’t see before.”

In a world filled with electronic management and fuel injection systems, the Camaro is powered by a healthy carbureted big block Chevy engine. The mighty motor is cooled by US radiator and breathing through an artfully designed custom header and complete stainless exhaust system skillfully fabricated by MagnaFlow’s Research and Development team. The powerplant is backed by the ever-trusty Turbo 400 GearVendors combo. More rock solid, reliable performance parts from Detroit Speed, JRI Shocks and Baer Brakes are found under the vintage Camaro.

Outside, Strope leaned on the team at AMD to provide all the stock sheet metal, then it was cleaned up and painted Ice Grey Metallic by Body & Paint by Jeff in Oxnard California. The car rides on a set of one-off HRE wheels wrapped in the latest Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.

Inside the Camaro, beautiful work by Eric Thorson Custom Upholstery makes it seem as though Graphite Blue was a GM factory order option. Driving comfort and enjoyment are amped up by Dynamat, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital and Kicker audio.
