This 2017 Ford GT is a pre-production development mule built in late 2015. Used for powertrain and calibration testing ahead of retail production, it was constructed with hand-built components, including a bare dry carbon-fiber body that was never painted. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and features a carbon-fiber passenger cell with aluminum front and rear subframes. Proceeds benefit the Ford Heritage Fleet.
