Another wildly successful year for the Salt Lake Off-road Expo

For the ninth year, the Salt Lake Off-Road Expo held it’s annual show of the who’s who and the what’s what in the Off-road World in Salt Lake City Utah. With each year the show has grown exponentially. I remember just a few years back the show occupied maybe 1/4th of the Mountain America Expo Center’s floor. This year the show occupied all 5 halls that the expo center has to offer. That’s nearly 260,000 square feet of Off-road loving to behold this year.

If you’ve never been to the SLOREX as they call it for short. Let me tell you, it’s like a giant candy store for any Off-road loving human. There are vendors galore selling everything from tires and lighting, to recovery gear and seating. If it belongs on an off-road rig, you’re going to find it here. The show also featured a multitude of vehicles that have been built to wild off-road spec for your viewing pleasure. We even had the pleasure of chatting with Off-road recovery Youtube stars “Matt’s Off-road Recovery,” and Rory Irish from “Trail Mater.” Shoot we even saw animatronic dinosaurs that the kids could ride while they were at the show. It is most definitely a family oriented event.

If you’re in the market for any off-road parts or are simply interested to see what the industry has to offer, this is the place for you. Do you like UTV’s, they’re here. Are Jeeps you’re thing? They’re here also. Do you want to see customer rock crawling buggies? Slorex has them.

What I really enjoyed about this show is how friendly everyone is. The vendors have great products and they are willing to show you every aspect of their product and give you a great deal on it with expo pricing. There are vehicles built to the hilt in goodies, and the owners are standing there nearby, gladly telling others all about them. If you go to this show having questions on what items you should put on your own build, I’m confident you’ll leave knowing what direction you want to go.

They also feature discussion panels with leaders in the industry covering everything from trail maintenance and land rights to responsible recreating. It’s easy to see that today’s off-roading community values the land and spaces they are able to use for this hobby and want to keep those uses available.

This is literally the place, for you to learn and see everything there is about the off-roading life and products that make it amazing. Huge kudos to Phil Rawlings and his entire team for putting this together every year and the continued growth it’s seen is no fluke.
