The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team got back into action today at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto after a three-week break. Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins finished the afternoon Practice in 17th and 21st place respectively. They will both take part in tomorrow’s Q1 session.Quartararo had completed FP1 in P20 and pushed hard in the Practice to improve his ranking. He set a 1’36.752s on lap 21/22 that put him in P17 in the timesheets.Rins had finished FP1 in 21st place. The Spaniard improved on his morning time by almost 1.3s in the Practice, setting a 1’37.025s on lap 18/18, but he still ended up in 21st position in the afternoon classifications.The MotoGP action will resume tomorrow: FP2 will be held from 10:10-10:40 (GMT+2), followed by the qualifying sessions from 10:50-11:30, and the 12-lap Sprint that starts at 15:00.
