Columbia Falls, Mont. (October 2025) – PROOF Research®, the global leader in composite technology, proudly congratulates Greg Hamilton, Head of Special Projects at PROOF Research, and PROOF Sponsored Shooter Sean Murphy on their outstanding 1st place finish in the Heavy Division at the TTG Sniper Challenge 2025, held on Oct. 10 – 12, 2025, at the iconic Y.O. Ranch in Mountain Home, Texas.
Competing in the Heavy Division, Hamilton and Murphy faced grueling physical and shooting challenges designed to replicate the demands of law enforcement SWAT snipers. Each team carried out every task while wearing 15-pound plate carriers, adding another layer of difficulty to an already demanding event.
In a strategic twist from their typical competition setup, Hamilton ran a bolt gun – the Accuracy International ATX fitted with a PROOF Research carbon-fiber 6.5 Creedmoor barrel – while Murphy operated the Sons of Liberty Gunworks MK1. The pair’s combination of marksmanship, endurance, and communication carried them to the top spot in the Heavy Division.
“This event really pushes you to your limits physically and mentally,” said Hamilton. “Running PROOF gear under those conditions shows just how reliable and accurate our systems are, no matter the environment.”
The TTG Sniper Challenge is a two-day team competition that blends precision marksmanship with tactical fitness. Competitors face a variety of challenges simulating real-world law enforcement and military operations. The event attracts top shooters from across the country, all striving to test their skills and gear under extreme, realistic conditions.
