SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – June 16, 2026 – Barrett-Jackson (https://www.barrett-jackson.com/), The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is gearing up to auction an impressive group of “America’s Sports Cars,” featuring late-model and classic Chevrolet Corvettes during the inaugural Columbus Auction, June 25-27, 2026, at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds. Topping the list is an exceptional 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible (Lot #722) that represents the final year of the front-engine Corvette design. Also among the anticipated offerings crossing the block is an award-winning custom 1967 Chevrolet Corvette (Lot #757) that earned the Best Engineered Street Machine award at the 2016 Cincinnati ISCA World of Wheels show.
“Since 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has embodied the spirit of American performance,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Every generation Corvette has a unique story to tell, and we have several fine examples ready to cross the block during our inaugural Columbus Auction. The 2019 ZR1 convertible represents the final chapter in traditional Chevrolet design before moving to a mid-engine layout, while the custom 1967 ’Vette set a benchmark for style and performance that few would achieve. Each is crossing the block with No Reserve and is ready for the next caretaker.”
Built in the final year of the front-engine Corvette configuration, the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible (Lot #722) is powered by a supercharged LT5 V-8 engine producing 755hp and paired with an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. It includes the ZTK Track Performance Package and is factory-equipped with the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group. It also features keyless ignition, front curb-view cameras, performance data and video recorder, Bose surround-sound system, touchscreen infotainment with navigation and smartphone connectivity.
Other collectible Corvettes on the docket include the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette (Lot #757), which is powered by a 600hp LS3 V-8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The body was converted to a flush-mounted 1963 Split-Window-style rear glass and windshield configuration. It is finished in black with a red Stinger hood and complemented with side exhaust and custom styling details. The interior features custom Z06 power seats, power windows, an electronic parking brake, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, a Flaming River tilt steering column and a Vintage Air climate-control system. A 1962 Corvette convertible (Lot #746) frame-off build rides on a custom-fabricated chassis with modern Corvette suspension and a red powder-coated frame. It is powered by an LS6 Z06 505-horsepower V-8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The interior is trimmed in custom Italian Red leather and features custom gauges and a custom audio stereo system.
“The Corvettes crossing the block this month in Columbus spark emotions and stir memories across generations of enthusiasts,” said Jackson. “Each one has its own story and delivers a truly unique ownership experience. The 1962 convertible, along with a custom 1959 roadster, represent beautiful blends of classic style with modern chassis and drivetrain.”
The custom 1959 roadster (Lot #723) is powered by a GM LS1 aluminum V-8 with automatic transmission and power steering. It rides on a Corvette Correction chassis with a C4 independent suspension and features an all-original 1959 Corvette body that was hand-stripped, smoothed and refinished with tightened body gaps and painted Viper Red with white coves. Lot #724 is a frame-off custom build that rides on a Street Shop chassis and is equipped with QA1 adjustable coilover suspension at all four corners. It is powered by an LS1 V-8 producing 550 horsepower, paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The exterior features include C6 Z06 Spyder wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, a Stayfast cloth top and was featured in Corvette Enthusiast magazine.
Other convertible Corvettes crossing the block during the inaugural Columbus Auction include:
- 1965 Corvette 327/350 (Lot #766) – Powered by the original matching-numbers L79 327/350-horsepower V-8 engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission; the car was subject to a frame-on cosmetic restoration
- 1958 Corvette (Lot #458) – this restored car is powered by a 283ci V-8 engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission; includes the 1958-only trunk spear trim and washboard-style louvered hood
- 1960 Corvette (Lot #451) – Recipient of a comprehensive restoration and powered by a matching-numbers 283ci V-8 engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission
For those looking for Corvette-themed automobilia pieces, a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette coin-operated kiddie ride (Lot #9161) is custom-crafted and exceptionally restored. The Route 66 tribute features all hand-painted graphics, working lights, upholstered interior, variable-speed motor controlled by throttle shifter, and plays the 1961 Chevrolet jingle “See the USA in your Chevrolet” when operating.
