When it comes to high quality products built for the rough riggers of the Arms Community Sig Sauer is at the forefront of the industry. And with the release of the Whiskey 5 Electro-optic rifle scope, Sig has added another winning chapter to its line of products.
We here at Torqued magazine love great, innovative products and when we got our hands on the Sig Sauer Whiskey 5 we knew we had a winner in our hands. Our test unit came in the 3-15X52 optic size and magnification. This optic is a great sized piece. It fits easily on the top of most any rifle and for its size it is not absurdly heavy. It’s a good solid unit that gets the job done.
When we say the word Electro-optic we refer to Sigs new technology of an advanced fiber optic illuminated reticle that can be adjusted in brightness for whatever shooting conditions you encounter out there in the field. The Whiskey 5 comes in a Hell fire style reticle which has always been one of my favorite reticle types.
The Whiskey 5 comes with a Spectracoat lens coating which reduces glare and reflections, providing superior light transmission. The lens also features Lens Armor, protecting the scopes lenses from abrasion keeping the scope crystal clear for years to come.

I honestly loved this scope. It felt great atop our test rifle and it handled amazingly. Handled meaning, it was easy to use as well the 15 X magnification is superb. The viewing field is crystal clear and the scope it spot on accurate. I mounted it to our rifle and didn’t even do any sighting in. My first 8 shots were just mount to the rail and go. And it was dead on from 100 yards. I was very happy with that performance alone. Aquiring a target is super easy, and the adjustable eye relief was everything I wanted it to be.
Would we recommend this scope? Yes and yes again.
