onation reflects TOPDON’S ongoing investment in UTI’s training programs

FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY – Sept. 8, 2026 – TOPDON USA, a leading provider of cutting-edge automotive diagnostic tools, technology, and software, announced today the company is donating 48 TOPDON ONE Lite diagnostic scan tools to Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI) to support its automotive technician training programs. The donation is the company’s latest investment in UTI’s training programs and marks TOPDON’s first education initiative that supports both instructor-led and classroom use across UTI campuses nationwide.

“We’re honored that the TOPDON ONE Lite diagnostic tool will be a part of UTI’s effort to train the next generation of auto technicians,” said Chad Schnitz, vice president at TOPDON USA. “Over the last two years, we’ve teamed up with UTI to support its hands-on training approach at select campuses across the country. We’re excited the TOPDON ONE Lite will be fully integrated into four advanced electrical and technology/hybrid courses that will be taught on every UTI campus in the country.”

In February 2026, TOPDON announced its new ONE Series diagnostic platform, engineered to offer dealer-level technology to technicians at a significantly lower price point. The new series rolled out with the TOPDON ONE Lite and TOPDON ONE, followed by the TOPDON ONE Plus in June. Each product offers several advanced auto repair solutions such as clear network mapping, smart repair guidance, and deep coverage across modern vehicle systems.

“We are grateful to TOPDON for their ongoing investment in our training programs to ensure our students have access to the latest technology,” said John Dodson, Vice President of Business Alliances, Universal Technical Institute. “When we evaluated the TOPDON ONE Lite, we found that its capabilities are well-aligned with the advanced diagnostic skills taught in several courses.”

UTI will integrate the TOPDON ONE Lite into the following Automotive Technology program courses: Advanced Electrical Diagnosis, Advanced Technology/Hybrid & Service Advising; Advanced Electrical Diagnosis with ADAS, and Advanced Technology/Hybrid & Service Advising.

The donation is part of TOPDON’s TOP-UP program that was launched globally and introduced in the U.S. in 2022. The initiative supports trade schools, community colleges, and technical institutions nationwide by equipping them with modern tools and resources designed to strengthen the talent pipeline entering the automotive service industry.
