Pedro Acosta made the best of his Red Bull KTM bike on Sunday to finish fifth at the Indonesian GP as the Spaniard remains in the top five of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship standings. Here is all you need to know:
– Saturday’s Sprint Race saw Álex Márquez finish fifth on his BK8 Gresini Ducati with Acosta just behind in sixth, Italian Enea Bastianini in 11th place and Frenchman Johann Zarco 12th.

– Sunday saw Spaniard Raúl Fernández take the lead early on and he pulled away with Marco Bezzecchi, the Italian biding his time before taking the lead on lap 19 and easing clear for the victory.
– Fernández ended in second place nursing two broken fingers with Spaniard Jorge Martín third to retain his overall 2026 title lead as Japan’s Ai Ogura got past Acosta late on to put Acosta back in fifth.
– Acosta, 22, said: “Maybe I should have stayed longer behind Marc (Márquez), but I thought if I passed him one lap later it was not going to change anything. We made a good race, much better than yesterday. I think we took the maximum we could.”

– Álex Márquez finished seventh, while Bastianini ended 10th for Red Bull KTM Tech3 leaving Red Bull KTM’s Brad Binder in 11th, Honda’s Zarco 13th, Brazilian Diogo Moreira 16th and Spaniard Maverick Viñales 17th. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu failed to finish.
