For the second successive MotoGP™ Grand Prix, former world champion Jorge Martín finished second to his Aprilia team-mate Marco Bezzechi in the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas while Pedro Acosta claimed the final podium spot to maintain their impressive starts to the 2026 season. Here is all you need to know:
– After scoring his first victory of the season in Saturday’s Sprint race at the Texas circuit, Martín tailed Acosta by less than half a second for 14 consecutive laps as Bezzechi led the way from lights-out.

– The 2024 world champion almost saw his race come to early end as he lost the front wheel at Turn 1 at one point, but propped himself back upright using his elbow and maintained his chase of Acosta’s KTM once again.
– Acosta actually led off the start, but ran wide at Turn 11 and lost the lead to Bezzechi after the pair touched hard as rejoined the track, but he looked set for second place until he also ran extremely wide at Turn 1 on Lap 14 and Martín slipped through.
– From there, Martín held the position to repeat his second place finish from Brazil the previous weekend while Acosta rode home for his second podium finish in three races.
– Martín now sits in second place in the Riders’ Standings, four points behind leader Bezzechi, while Ascota follows in third, 21 points adrift of the points lead.

– Behind the podium finishers, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Enea Bastianini came home in sixth after race highlight fight with record champion Marc Márquez, while Gresini Racing’s Alex Márquez finished one place behind in seventh after a late-race push.
– Brad Binder finished in 12th place on the second Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine, while Brazilian MotoGP™ rookie Diogo Moreira chased him over the line in 13th place for the second race in a row.
– 2025 WSBK champion Toprak Razgatlıoğlu was the leading Yamaha rider in 15th, while an early crash resulted in the DNF for Castrol Honda LCR’s Johann Zarco.
