Four of the world’s best cyclists went head-to-head in a unique two-stage format: no teammates, no support vehicles – just pure human power.
The cycling calendar, especially at WorldTour level, has long remained untouched, with familiar races challenging the peloton season after season. Andorra Cycling Masters seeks to break with tradition and deliver a bold, exciting new format. Here is all you need to know:
– Andorra Cycling Masters introduced a fresh concept to a nation synonymous with road cycling. Andorra boasts the highest number of mountain passes per square kilometre in the world and home to an estimated 120 professional cyclists.
– The event pitted four of the sport’s biggest names against each other in a direct duel. Primož Roglič, riding for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, faced four-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard, and Isaac del Toro.

– At 36, Roglič was the oldest of the quartet, but while age is often viewed as a disadvantage, the four-time Vuelta a España champion relied on experience to prevail in the man-to-man battle.
– The opening stage was an 8.23 km uphill time trial on Coll de la Gallina, terrain perfectly suited to Roglič’s strengths. He delivered a commanding ride, defeating his closest challenger, Pogačar, by 20 seconds.
– Stage two saw the riders contest a 15-lap criterium (2.14 km per lap) through the streets of Andorra la Vella. Roglič finished second, earning enough points to secure the overall victory.
– As Roglič heads into 2026, his primary objective will be to claim a record-equalling fifth Vuelta a España title. His spring programme is expected to include Tirreno–Adriatico, Itzulia Basque Country, and the Tour de Romandie as part of his build-up.
‘Andorra Cycling Masters’ documentary is now live on Red Bull TV.
