SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Jan. 6, 2025 – Barrett-Jackson (https://www.barrett-jackson.com/), The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, announced today it will sell No. 22 of 31 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Snakeskin Green Editions as part of an extraordinary docket of classic and late-model Mopars consigned for the 2026 Scottsdale Auction, Jan. 17-25 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. The limited-edition Viper (Lot #1417) was built to commemorate the final year of Viper production and has 812 actual miles. A well-restored factory V-code 1970 Plymouth ’Cuda convertible (Lot #1370), representing one of the most collectible high-performance convertibles of the classic muscle car era, will also cross the block in January with No Reserve.
“Over the years, we’ve sold some of the most historically significant Mopars at our auctions, and we’re continuing that tradition in Scottsdale,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “One of the classic Mopars we’re excited to offer is a factory V-code 1970 Plymouth ’Cuda convertible (Lot #1370). This rotisserie-restored convertible is powered by a 440ci Six-Barrel V8, making it one of the most desirable combinations in the Mopar performance lineup. We also have some incredible Dodge Vipers, including the 2017 Snakeskin Green Edition and a Billet Silver Metallic 2016 ACR (Lot #1078), each crossing the block with No Reserve. It’s a great opportunity to be the next steward of these historical Mopars.”
Some of the best examples of Dodge Vipers that are set to cross the auction block include the 2017 Snakeskin Green Edition (Lot #1417). It is powered by a V10 producing 645 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 2016 ACR (Lot #1078) is equipped with the Extreme Aero Package and has 837 actual miles. Also crossing the block will be two 2008 Hurst 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Viper SRTs from the Centre Point Collection: a coupe (Lot #1374) that is No. 1 of 50 and a convertible (Lot #1374.1) that is No. 2 of 50. The Hurst Editions will sell as a set and includes a 2008 Dodge Viper SRT/10 Hurst 50th Anniversary custom go-kart in matching regalia.
Classic Mopars include the V-code 1970 ’Cuda convertible (Lot #1370) finished in Hi-Impact Lemon Twist Yellow. Power comes from the factory 440ci Six-Barrel V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission and pistol-grip shifter. Of the 29 440ci Six-Barrel ’Cuda convertibles produced in 1970, 17 were equipped with the 4-speed manual transmission, making this car exceptionally desirable. It is a highly documented and well-restored example of the high-performance convertibles of the muscle-car era.
A restored 1970 Dodge HEMI Challenger R/T (Lot #1440) in the lineup is one of approximately 137 4-speed examples built for the U.S. and one of approximately 10 produced in the color combination of HEMI Orange over a black interior. It was also ordered with the highly desirable “Bumblebee Stripe” option. Powered by a matching-numbers V8 with automatic transmission, a restored 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird (Lot #1427) has a rebuilt period-correct carburetor and includes the white upholstery as equipped.
“The variety of the Mopars crossing the block in January is simply out of this world,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “From the head-turning 1970 Superbird (Lot #1427) to two Dodge Challenger SRT Demons – one from 2018 (Lot #1053.1) and the other from 2023 (Lot #1053), which was ordered with the same VIN-ending – they illustrate how Mopar has been connecting generations of performance and racing enthusiasts. If you’re ready to add an exceptional Mopar to your collection, join us in Scottsdale to see some of the best classics and hand-crafted customs, as well as the latest models rolling off production lines.”
Custom Mopars include a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye (Lot #1312) known as the Carbon Daytona “D69.” A 2024 Barrett-Jackson Cup competitor, it is a one-of-one carbon-fiber reinterpretation of the legendary 1969 Dodge Daytona. It was built from a 2022 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye platform and is powered by a supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces 797 horsepower. A custom 1970 Dodge Charger (Lot #1304.1) is a no-expense-spared Resto-Mod powered by a 807-horsepower supercharged Gen III HEMI V8 Mopar Performance Hellcat Redeye crate engine. The interior is finished in high-end dark brown custom leather and features Vintage Air climate control, modern Dakota Digital VHX gauges, center console, a leather-wrapped Grant steering wheel and a pistol-grip shifter.
This 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 (Lot #1053) produces 1,025 horsepower and is capable of 0 to 60 mph in 1.66 seconds and an NHRA-certified quarter-mile time of 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph. Its features include adaptive suspension, Brembo performance brakes, launch control, drag radial tires and Demon-specific performance systems. It has 9 actual miles and was ordered with the same VIN-ending as a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (Lot #1053.1), to create a matching pair that will sell consecutively on the auction block. The 2018 version is powered by a supercharged HEMI V8 engine producing 840 horsepower and finished in Pitch Black with a black interior. It has 39 actual miles and includes the unopened Demon Crate and factory literature.
