MAHLE and Jumana Al-Sibai, Member of the Group Management Board responsible for the “Thermal and Fluid Systems” business unit, have mutually agreed that their cooperation is to end on December 31, 2025. Jumana Al-Sibai (53) joined MAHLE in April 2021 as Group Management Board Member responsible for the “Thermal Management” business unit and has headed the “Thermal and Fluid Systems” business unit, newly formed in the course of a group reorganization, since the beginning of 2025. At its scheduled meeting held on December 2, 2025, the MAHLE Supervisory Board appointed Martin Wellhoeffer (47) as her successor.
Wellhoeffer has worked for the MAHLE Group in a number of different functions for more than 20 years, most recently as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the “Thermal and Fluid Systems” business unit. He will take on his new role with effect from January 1, 2026.
Prof. Dr. Heinz K. Junker, Chairman of the MAHLE Supervisory Board, said: “On behalf of the MAHLE supervisory bodies, I would like to thank Jumana Al-Sibai for her dedicated work during a challenging phase in the transformation of our company. She has my best wishes for the future, both for her career and for her private life.

“Martin Wellhoeffer has comprehensive knowledge of the MAHLE Group, including experience as a Group Management Board Member. In his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer, he has forged ahead in a focused way with the operational excellence of the “Thermal and Fluid Systems” business unit. This is why MAHLE’s supervisory bodies are convinced that he will lead the largest business unit in the group successfully into the future with his expertise,” said Junker.

Martin Wellhoeffer has spent his entire career to date with the MAHLE Group. After completing a degree in automotive engineering, he joined MAHLE as a trainee in the Sales Department in 2004 and then held a number of positions in this area for several years. In 2015, he became Head of Group Strategy and Sales Planning, before becoming Head of Sales in 2019. In 2023, Wellhoeffer was appointed to the Group Management Board, where he was responsible for the “Mechatronics and Electronics“ business unit. In connection with the downsizing of the Group Management Board at the beginning of 2025, he became COO of the newly formed business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”.

“Following the recent decision, the MAHLE Group Management Board is well-positioned to continue the transformation path the company has embarked on in challenging times,” the Supervisory Board Chairman emphasized. “MAHLE is and remains a strong partner and technology driver for the automotive industry.”
