The Bosch HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads expand the brand’s trusted and comprehensive aftermarket braking portfolio into the heavy-duty segment, delivering OE-level quality and beyond for Class 6-8 vehicles.
The new product is being displayed at AAPEX 2025 Booth #A4409 and demonstrated during in-booth braking presentation “What’s Stopping You?”
The HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads promise advanced friction stability, lower rotor wear and mileage that meets or exceeds OE quality.
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. – The Mobility Aftermarket division of Bosch, the world’s top automotive supplier, unveiled its all-new heavy-duty braking line today at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) 2025 in Las Vegas – the Bosch HCV Air-Disc Brake Pads.
The inaugural heavy-duty braking line from Bosch represents a significant expansion of the already comprehensive Bosch braking lineup further into the heavy-duty space.
“With our new heavy-duty Air-Disc pads, Bosch brings the same OE-level engineering, material quality and better-than-OE performance our customers expect from our company,” said Bradley Reedy, product manager, brakes at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket. “These pads were developed with real-world heavy-duty applications and common problems in mind, ensuring consistent performance in even the toughest operating environments.”
The new Air-Disc pads from Bosch extend its proven braking technology to Class 6-8 heavy commercial vehicles (HCV), joining an established lineup of heavy-duty products including diesel systems, diagnostics, tools and equipment.
There are two segments to the Bosch heavy-duty braking line launching at AAPEX. Bosch Long Haul is designed to meet demand for tractor trailer applications and more with high quality in mind. Bosch Severe Service HD is optimized for refuse, bus, and other heavy-duty applications to withstand the high heat generated by frequent braking under heavy loads.
Each brake pad set contains four pads and a hardware kit—the full brake job in a box. The pads deliver mileage that meets or exceeds original equipment (OE) quality, offering a longer product lifespan.
Each pad is rigorously tested to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 121, ensuring advanced friction stability and reliable braking performance across a wide range of payloads, temperatures and driving conditions.
Bosch will showcase the new HCV line during its “What’s Stopping You?” seminar at AAPEX (Booth #A4409), featuring attention-grabbing product displays, performance test data and information on upcoming promotions. The presentation also highlights Bosch’s comprehensive braking history and commitment to advancing mobility solutions across all vehicle classes.
“The launch of our Air-Disc brake pads represents continued expansion by Bosch in the aftermarket,” said Thu Teesdale, director of product management at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket. “We’ve been a leader in the braking space for nearly a century, and we can now extend that same reliability and performance into our heavy-duty portfolio – giving fleet owners, technicians and distributors a trusted partner they can turn to for every part of vehicle servicing.”
With this launch, Bosch continues to strengthen its presence in both the braking and heavy-duty markets, bringing a broader range of premium, OE-quality solutions to the commercial vehicle aftermarket throughout North America.
