
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Oct. 7, 2025 – Barrett-Jackson (www.barrett-jackson.com), The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will sell some of the most celebrated classic and late-model custom American pickups during the Scottsdale Fall Auction, Oct. 15-18, 2025, at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Among the custom trucks ready to rumble across the auction block in Scottsdale are a custom 1955 Chevrolet 3100 big-window pickup (Lot #985) powered by a 2006 Cadillac Escalade engine and “Hell Raiser,” a custom 1946 Ford half-ton pickup (Lot #1096) that blends timeless hot-rod style with modern precision.
“The collectible pickups crossing our block in Scottsdale this October are a celebration of American heritage, horsepower and craftsmanship,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Trucks were initially designed to be a workhorse on farms and ranches and now make the perfect canvas for creating rolling works of art. From a 1955 Chevrolet 3100 big-window pickup (Lot #985) that retains its original design to a 2024 Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition Pickup (Lot #974) upgraded by Hennessey with their Mammoth 1000 Performance Package, we’re hauling in the best collectible trucks for our Scottsdale Fall Auction.”
Among late-model trucks crossing the block is a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 custom pickup (Lot #1020) owned by Boston Red Sox Major League Baseball player Jarren Duran. Powered by a V8 paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this custom crew-cab pickup build debuted at SEMA 2018. The sale includes a Red Sox jersey, baseball hat, bat and ball signed by Jarren Duran. Featured classic custom pickups include a 1953 Chevrolet 3100 (Lot #733) offers a fully independent front and rear suspension with fully insulated interior with leather-trimmed seating surfaces, tilting steering column and power windows with nostalgic hand-crank-inspired handles.
“While they may have traditionally been utilitarian by design, pickups have become a status symbol that reflect the expanding taste of collectors worldwide,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “The collectible trucks crossing the block this fall span nearly 80 years of production and each one reflects bold, classic designs with reimagined twists.”
“Hellraiser” is a custom 1946 Ford half-ton pickup (Lot #1096) that blends timeless hot-rod style with modern precision. It is powered by a 535-horsepower Ford Racing engine with custom bodywork that includes suicide doors with shaved handles, remote controls, a custom tubular grille, Hagan frenched headlamps, molded LED turn-signal lamps and a reverse-tilt hood kit, all seamlessly integrated to enhance its aggressive stance. A freshly built 1956 Ford F-100 custom pickup (Lot #956) is finished in China Gray with a tilt hood and a striking red interior equipped with Dakota Digital gauges, power windows, Vintage Air climate control and a JVC stereo system with Kicker speakers, amp and subwoofer.
Other late-model trucks include a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 custom pickup (Lot #953) powered by a V8 engine with Gen 6 Whipple supercharger system producing approximately 650 horsepower. It features a professionally installed PaxPower Jackal widebody conversion with 4-inch-wider fenders and bedsides, and rides on 17-inch KMC off-road wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 all-terrain tires. The 2024 Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition Pickup (Lot #974) features the upgraded Hennessey Mammoth 1000 Performance Package with a supercharged V8 for 1,000 horsepower.
Other notable collectible pickups include:
- 1967 GMC K10 custom pickup (Lot #1107) – Rebadged as a Chevrolet and the recipient of a frame-off restoration, finished in High Voltage Metallic Orange with a paint-matched Raptor liner
- 1970 Chevrolet K10 custom (Lot #970.1) – New build with only test miles, powered by a fuel-injected all-aluminum LS3 Chevrolet crate engine producing 500 horsepower
- 1970 Chevrolet K20 custom (Lot #960) – Refurbished and completed in 2025; includes a Vortec V8 linked to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission, with four-wheel drive
- 2024 Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition custom (Lot #1094) – Features a professionally applied custom wrap with a Hellcat vs. T-Rex end-of-world theme and powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine
