The iconic New York watchmaker honors its auto racing legacy and 150th anniversary with a bold new collaboration inspired by the 1967 Shelby GT500
New York, NY – September 10, 2025 – Bulova, a pioneer in watchmaking since 1875, is celebrating its 150th anniversary with the new, officially licensed, limited-edition Bulova x Shelby Racing Chronograph. This timepiece is a tribute to the brand’s storied heritage in auto racing, combining the trailblazing style of legendary muscle car customizer Carroll Shelby with Bulova’s innovative watchmaking technology.
THE BULOVA x SHELBY RACING CHRONOGRAPH
Bulova’s deep-rooted connection to auto racing dates back to the 1960s and ’70s when the brand served as the official timekeeper for major events like NASCAR and IndyCar. The new Bulova Racing Chronograph is a celebration of speed and precision, crafted in collaboration with Shelby for Bulova’s 150th Anniversary. This special timepiece draws inspiration from the iconic 1967 Shelby GT500, with a bold 43mm silver-tone stainless steel bullhead case and a black tachymeter ring. The watch captures Shelby’s signature blue and white colorway on its durable HNBR rubber strap and dial accents. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, which features an 8-hand chronograph capable of timing to an incredible 1/1000th of a second. The legendary Carroll Shelby Cobra icon is prominently displayed at the 3 o’clock register.
Inside, the watch is powered by Bulova’s proprietary high-precision quartz Precisionist movement, with a frequency of 262khz for exceptional accuracy to thousandths of a second and a smooth, sweeping chronograph hand. The timepiece is limited to just 7,500 pieces worldwide and comes with a numbered case back engraved with Carroll Shelby’s signature. It is presented in a special box that also includes a 1:24 scale die-cast model of the GT500.
The Bulova x Shelby Racing Chronograph will be available at select Bulova retailers and on Bulova.com starting September 10.
