The sponsorship, which consists of cash and product donations, is made through the company’s TOP-UP Academic Initiative that was created to help prepare the next generation of automotive technicians for the workforce.

Last year, TechForce Foundation awarded $4.4 million in scholarships and grants to financially struggling techs across the country and welcomed 50,217 students and working techs into its academic and workforce training programs. In 2025, the Foundation plans to expand beyond transportation sectors into HVAC, AgTech, welding, machining and more.
“Our TechForce network blew past expectations, ending 2024 with 50,217 students and working techs and welcoming 22,724 new users, a clear sign of this online community growing stronger,” said Jennifer Maher, CEO of TechForce Foundation. “Every dollar and every product donated from partners like TOPDON are critical in supporting more students on their journey to a career as an automotive tech or other trade professional.”
In addition to TOPDON’s cash donation, the company will also donate several auto diagnostic scan tools, battery service tools and thermal imaging cameras that will be available to students, providing practical, hands-on training opportunities as students progress through their education.
